Golden Cannon is not an “oops baby,” Wendy Williams. Such is what the child’s mother, Brittany Bell, said in response to Wendy’s controversial statement about her and Nick Cannon’s son.

Wendy, in her fashion of speaking her mind, referred to little Golden as a sort of accidental baby during her most recent interview with Nick Cannon. The celebrity dad was discussing his life’s changes and relationship with Brittany Bell when Wendy brought their son into the conversation by saying, “And then, oops, baby.” Nick laughed off the jab because of his and Wendy Williams’ relationship as friends.

“I’ve got love for Wendy,” Nick said during a recent interview with VladTV. “I think because we have such a rapport, like, that’s how she felt like she could talk,” he said of the television host’s comment. “And it’s just like, ‘Alright. I’m on your show. I’m going to let that slide. I’m going to call you out on it. But, you know, I’m going to let you go there.'”
Many, including Brittany Bell, called Wendy Williams out for her “oops baby” comment. “The honor of bringing life on earth is definitely not an, ‘oops,'” Brittany wrote online. Several others came to Bell and Cannon’s defense.
“Don’t waste time talking about Wendy Williams,” one of Brittany’s fans advised. Another of the former Miss Universe’s followers wrote, “Wendy and Kevin Hunter had a[n] ‘oops baby’ with someone else. Now let’s talk about that.” Let’s not.
In any case, Nick Cannon told VladTV that he did not think Wendy Williams meant anything malicious by her statement. “I don’t think it was that serious,” the celebrity father said. “I wasn’t upset by it. She always talks like that.”
