Yandy Smith wants to know if she is being too hard on her teen daughter. The celebrity mom, who is in the process of adopting the youngster, recently took to Instagram to solicit the advice of her fanbase who may have more experience with rearing teenagers.
“I’m going to love you @fromyandytoinfinity,” Yandy wrote to her daughter. “But I’m also going to tell you NO to a 22-inch weave, belly shirts, and long fake nails,” the celebrity mom explained. “I’m on the fence about your eyebrows getting done,” Yandy added. “We all eat dinner together, and nope no TV is a rule on the weekday.”
“I never raised a teenager Y’all,” Yandy admitted before asking, “Am I being too hard on her? She’s so annoyed right here. Help me. I’m willing to shift on the eyebrows…maybe. And I really wanna say no phone on school nights but that might be too far…right?”
Several of Yandy Smith’s fans responded to her cry for assistance with encouragement. “You will figure it all out,” one of Yandy’s Instagram subscribers said. “You’re her mother, not her friend. You love her and are trying to instill your values in her, keep pushing, sis.”
Another fan wrote, “Making compromises is also a thing you could do with her. Maybe not 22-inch weave but she can get 16 or 18 inches. She should be able to get her eyebrows done. I don’t think that should be a problem. These are just basic things that help boost her confidence. But the no TV during dinner is a great rule. More parents should do that.”
