Great news! Luke Cage’s Mike Colter and his wife, Iva Colter, are expecting a child. The couple is reportedly six months into their expectancy.
“We are feeling happy but a bit nervous as well,” the Colters admit. “It’s a new member of the family,” they add. “While it will shift focus for us again, our daughter will probably be affected the most, so we are making sure she feels comfortable and excited with the change to our growing family.”
The Colters’ unborn child will join their daughter, Naiella, at home. It was just a few weeks ago that Mike Colter told media that his toddler is very honest.
“She doesn’t understand that some things are weird, like you don’t say certain things,” the actor revealed. “She tells people to take their shoes off when they come into the house, like, ‘Take your shoes off! Take your shoes off!’ and she’ll tell people, ‘You have ugly feet.’ She’s a little honest for her age.”
Mike also told media that Naiella is in the stage of figuring out how much she can get away with before getting into trouble. “If I tell her to do something, she takes her time,” Colter shared. “She looks at me and sizes it up, deciding whether she’s going to do it or not,” Mike explained. “I let her understand that there are ramifications for not listening to Daddy.”
How will Naiella adjust to being a big sister? We will have to wait about three more months to find out!
