The Golden State Warriors won the 2017 NBA Championship series but everyone knows that Riley Curry was the real winner. The daughter of Ayesha and Stephen Curry danced around and used the team’s trophy to check out her swagger at Tuesday night’s game.
Stephen was in the middle of a post-game courtside interview when Riley, who was standing in front of her dad, decided to sway with the music. The little one was definitely dressed in support of the Warriors as even her headgear matched the team’s staple colors.
Another video showed Riley turning her hat to the side while looking into the team’s championship trophy. The focal point of the video clip was supposed to be Stephen kissing the shining prize. Fans, however, couldn’t get enough of Riley’s stride. “Riley wit the Mood of the Century,” one fan wrote online.
The competition was fierce during Game 5 of the NBA Championship series. The Cleveland Cavaliers fought hard for the win but the Golden State Warriors ultimately came out as the victors. The final score was 129-120, which was enough for the Warriors to claim the 2017 title.
“The energy in the building from the time we stepped foot on the floor was on 12 out of 10; it was just ridiculous,” Stephen Curry told reporters at Tuesday’s press conference. “To be able to have my whole family here that allow me to do what I do on a daily basis, support me through thick and thin, to be able to share this with them, that’s that I cherish the most.”
