STEPHEN CURRY HONORED AT HIGH SCHOOL ALMA MATER, DAUGHTER STEALS THE SHOW

Riley Curry is a showstopper. The 4-year-old daughter of Ayesha and Stephen Curry had all eyes on her during her father’s high school jersey retirement ceremony at Charlotte Christian Scool on Tuesday.

Little Riley was hanging out in the audience when from across the gymnasium, a dab challenge came her way. Riley didn’t back down from the mini dance off but instead showed that she dabs the best. “@StephenCurry30 riley can dab with the best of them,” Thomas Maye of Charlotte Christian School’s golf team tweeted.

Stephen Curry delivered an impactful speech at his high school jersey retirement ceremony on Tuesday. “My freshman year, I went through some doubts about whether I could play on the varsity level back then,” the NBA star said of his early years in high school. “One of my only regrets is not trying out [for the varsity] that year. I played JV,” he added.

Curry further explained that the experience of playing for Junior Varsity instead of pursuing the challenge of Varsity Basketball taught him an invaluable lesson. “That taught me to go for it,” he shared. “To not let what people might tell you – no matter how short or skinny you might be — deter you from getting where you want to go.”

Stephen and Ayesha Curry are the proud parents of two kids. Riley is the couple’s oldest child who celebrates her fifth birthday after little sister Ryan rings in her second birthday this July.
