Cameron Boyce will be one of several young stars to star in Disney’s upcoming film, Descendants. The 16-year-old will be joined onset by Dove Cameron, Bamboo Stewart and Sofia Carson.
Descendants is an action movie that, in the spirit of Disney, plays off fairy tales and parental expectations. The television film centers around the son of King Adam and Queen Belle who offers a way out for the villains who have plagued Disney’s stories for decades. The malefactors include Cruella De Vil, Maleficent and Jafar.
Cameron will portray Carlos in the film while Dove Cameron and Sofia Carson will star as Mal and Evie, respectively. Descendants was created for young children as well as tweens, although teenagers and adults will also enjoy the film. The movie makes its television debut on Friday, July 31, 2015 at 8 p.m., ET/PT.
