Reginae Carter wants the world to know that even though she is following in her father’s footsteps, she is her own brand. “I’m glad that I can continue my father’s legacy and start my own thing as Reginae Carter”, she explained to Polish Magazine. “I get to do what I love and show the world my talent. And have my own name.”
Currently Reginae is very busy creating an empire. She has just been signed to Young Money and is working on her debut album. The youngster also has a fashion line she is working hard to expand, and she even authored a young adult novel. Reginae also recently became the face of Hairfinity.
“I’ve always watched my mom use HAIRFINITY and I saw how strong it made her hair, so I wanted to start using it. HAIRFINITY is a great product. Now I can’t live without it.” Reginae continued, “It makes your hair strong, healthier, and less breakage. It’s really a good product.”
The young celeb was born to rapper Lil’ Wayne and his high school sweetheart, reality star Toni Wright in 1998. At the time, her father was already breaking into the entertainment business, meaning she has grown up entirely in the spotlight. When asked what it’s like to be Lil’ Wayne’s daughter, Reginae admitted it has its ups and downs. “I have a lot of different challenges”, she noted. “I can meet different entertainers,” but of course, she also pointed out that there are always rumors when you’re in the spotlight. But that won’t be getting in her way of blowing up.
She has yet to set a date for her album’s release, but had this to say about the content: “My music will relate to kids my age, that can relate to our everyday life. I just want to get the word out that as kids, we go through things. Like heartbreaks and we like to have fun. I want my music relatable to kids my age.”
When the teen star isn’t hard at work on one project or another, she enjoys writing, looking up fashions, going out to the movies, and travelling.
