NARA SMITH OPENS UP ABOUT WHY SHE CHOSE TO HAVE FOUR KIDS BEFORE 25

Nara Smith has no regrets about becoming a mom of four before turning 25.

During an October 8 appearance on Emma Grede’s Aspire podcast, the influencer opened up about why she wanted children at a young age.

“I wanted kids younger. I didn’t know how young, right? But I knew I didn’t want to be an old mom,” Nara shared.

“My dad said he had us at 45. So he was like, I wish I would have had you earlier because my energy and like he had a transparent conversation with us about it. And I saw that and heard him,” she continued.

When she met her husband, Lucky Blue Smith, she discovered that he shared her desire to have a big family.

However, after welcoming their first two children, daughter Rumble and son Slim, Nara began having second thoughts.

With Rumble born during the pandemic and visa restrictions preventing her from working, Nara found herself spending most of her time at home while Lucky worked.

“I was itching to get back to work,” she recalled. “It’s kind of, it’s suffocating, just being at home all day and not feeling like I’m my own person.”

She even considered stopping at two kids, but Lucky wanted a third. The couple eventually welcomed Whimsy, followed by their surprise fourth baby, Fawnie.

As her social media career grew, Nara struggled with taking time away from work. She revealed that she was back to filming just two weeks after giving birth to Whimsy.

“I’m just such a workaholic,” she admitted.

The family also faced a difficult period when Whimsy was diagnosed with cancer in late 2025. With demanding careers and four young children, Nara and Lucky leaned on relatives and hired a nanny for additional help.

And when it comes to balancing everything, Nara isn’t pretending she has it all figured out.

“There is no balance. You try your best every day,” she said. “You wake up, you try your best, and you kind of have to get good at prioritizing things and blocking times.”

That means making time for special moments with her kids, whether it’s getting her nails done with her daughter or playing football with her son.

“I don’t think kids hold you back,” she added. “You just have to plan more and schedule more and outsource help if you need to.”

Nara and Lucky share Rumble, Slim, Whimsy and Fawnie. Lucky is also dad to daughter Gravity from a previous relationship.

As for having more babies? Nara says she’s done!

“When I’m 40, they’ll be out the house. So pick your battles,” she joked.
