Serena Williams had some of her biggest fans in the stands as she continued her tennis comeback at the US Open.
The tennis legend’s husband, Alexis Ohanian, attended Tuesday’s mixed doubles matches with the couple’s daughters, Olympia, 8, and Adira, 3.
Ohanian later shared photos from the day, including a sweet shot of the dad with his arms around both girls as Olympia held her little sister close.
“Always cheering for mama @serenawilliams (and @carlitosalcarazz !!),” he wrote.
Williams teamed up with Carlos Alcaraz for the tournament, marking her first time competing at the US Open since 2022. The pair defeated Erin Routliffe and Lloyd Glasspool before falling to Belinda Bencic and Flavio Cobolli in the quarterfinals.
While her mixed doubles run has ended, Serena isn’t done in New York just yet.
On Wednesday, the USTA announced that Serena and her older sister, Venus Williams, received a wild card into the women’s doubles tournament. The sisters last competed together at a Grand Slam at the 2022 US Open and recently reunited on the court at the Cincinnati Open.
The US Open appearance is the latest chapter in Serena’s return to professional tennis after nearly four years away. She began her comeback at Queen’s Club in June before returning to singles competition at Wimbledon.
Her family has been along for the ride.
Following Serena’s three-set loss at Wimbledon in June, Ohanian celebrated his wife’s comeback and the example she was setting for their daughters.
“Our little family is so proud of you @serenawilliams – even though it wasn’t the outcome you wanted, you’re an inspiration,” he wrote.
He added, “We love you. @olympiaohanian @adiraohanian are also happy they got to stay up a bit past their bedtime .”
Williams and Ohanian welcomed Olympia in September 2017 and Adira in August 2023. The couple has been married since 2017.
