In photos shared on Instagram by Porsha, Pilar looked ready to head back to school in a colorful sequin jacket, a white T-shirt embellished with a pink bow, and relaxed-fit jeans.

“Second grade, here comes my baby!,” the Real Housewives of Atlanta star wrote.

“Pilar, Mommy is SO proud of the smart, beautiful, sweet girl you are! You have an amazing village surrounding you with so much love, support, and prayer.”

That village was on hand for the occasion. Dennis joined Porsha and several family members for photos with the new second grader before she headed back to the classroom.

Porsha ended her post with a reminder for her daughter to keep being herself.

“Keep shining, learning, and being YOU! We love you beyond words, and I know you’re going to have an AMAZING year!”

Pilar, born March 22, 2019, is the only child Porsha and Dennis share. Although the former couple ended their engagement years ago, they have continued to come together for important moments in their daughter’s life.

Earlier this year, both parents celebrated Pilar as she turned 7. Porsha marked the occasion with an emotional birthday tribute to her “sweet baby girl.”

“HAPPY 7Th BIRTHDAY TO MY HEART OUTSIDE MY BODY!!!! Pilar Jhena McKinley, you are the reason that my life is so beautiful,” she wrote. “From the day you were born, I knew you would be my little lifesaver.”

The mom of one went on to praise Pilar for the person she is becoming, and described her as smart, kind and loving.

“I always wanted you to be compassionate and kind. I think those are the most important traits to have in life, no matter what, and you embody all of that,” Porsha shared.

“I will always encourage you, support you, love you, and guide you in anything you want to do.”
