Jelicia Westhoff is publicly accusing soccer star Maduka Okoye of failing to be present in their son’s life.
In a lengthy series of Instagram Stories shared Sunday, Westhoff made several allegations about the Nigerian goalkeeper’s involvement as a father, claiming he has repeatedly failed to show up for their son despite her ongoing efforts to co-parent.
In the past several months, Westhoff says their son has faced multiple health challenges and was hospitalized on multiple occasions, including a stay in intensive care.
She alleged that Okoye never visited during those medical emergencies and has missed numerous doctor’s appointments since December.
“Lets speak about December, MY son got hospitalized 4 times, ON the intensive of care, with an ambulance !!! his FATHER Didnt even Came !” she wrote.
Westhoff also claimed Okoye has seen their son only a handful of times over the past two years and questioned how involved he has been in their son’s life.
“YOU DONT CALL YOUR SON , YOU DONT SEE YOUR Son ? because your to busy punishing his mother and being a baddie on social media,” she wrote. “YOUR son that you wanted so badly when you was still broke and I had to give you money.”
She continued, “if you choose to not see your child because you want to sleep with the mother then the only bitter person is HIM.”
Westhoff went on to challenge Okoye to show evidence that he has been an active father.
“POST 4 RECENT PICTURES WITH YOUR CHILD !” she wrote. “I been calm i gave you 1000000 chances, and do you take care of him no? because you have to see him in my house otherwise you cant be a father.”
She said she tried to keep the matter private because attorneys were already involved.
“I have tried to be quiet well , Because there are Lawyers involved,” she wrote.
Elsewhere in the posts, Westhoff alleged that Okoye ignored repeated attempts to address their son’s needs through legal channels.
“My lawyers been sending him mails for weeks and months to take care of his son,” she wrote.
Okoye has recently been linked to rapper Cardi B, leading some social media users to speculate that Westhoff’s posts were fueled by jealousy. However, Westhoff rejected that idea, writing, “For the love of god? you really think this is about a woman? Dont be stupid, please,” before adding, “Its about principles.”
