THE GAME DROPS NEW SONG FEATURING DAUGHTER CALI DREAM

The Game released “Like Father Like Daughter” on Sunday, a new song inspired by his daughter Cali Dream.

On the track, the rapper revisits memories from Cali Dream’s childhood and shares the hopes he has for her future.

“From the day that you was born, I just loved you so perfect that I was scared to touch you. Now it feel like heaven when I hug you,” he raps on the track.

The song covers his hopes for her future too. “I would love to water my seed and watch her grow into a woman,” he says at one point, also touching on his desire to see her walk across a college graduation stage one day.

“Graduate from college, then I’ma give you the house keys. And after that, I’ma take my talents to South Beach and grow old, see you a couple times a year,” he says.

He then adds, “In the kitchen cuttin’ onions, just tryna hide the tears. Give you all this love while I’m still sittin’ here. ‘Cause leavin’ you on this earth is my only fear.”

Cali Dream does not sing on the song, but she does show up toward the end in a father-daughter conversation that fans are already talking about. She kicks things off with a question: “Daddy, what’s five things you love about me?”

The Game responds, “Um, you’re beautiful, you’re smart, you’re so funny, you got a big heart, and you love your family.”

He then turns the question back to his daughter.

“Hm, I think you’re motivatin’, you’re super optimistic,” Cali Dream says. “You always tell me how good I am and how good I’m gonna be. You’re super funny, you’re chill. You’re not like a serious parent.”
