Gabourey Sidibe and Brandon Frankel call Christmas with their twins “our super bowl” as the spend the holiday at home.
On Dec. 25, the father-of-two shared a glimpse of their holiday celebration on Instagram, posting a carousel of photos of the couple and their 20-month-old twins, Cooper and Maya. The family posed in matching pajamas featuring bold blue, yellow, and turquoise patterns, adding a playful touch to the festive holiday. In the photos, the Precious actress held one of the twins while her husband carried the other.
“Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from the Frankel’s! This year I got everyone matching African print family pajamas to keep the annual tradition going with a nod to @gabbysidibe , my African print Queen! As she says “this is our Super Bowl”, and I was probably more excited for them to wake up to all their presents than they were,” the entertainment marketing professional wrote.

He concluded, “They’re so big now, and their 2nd Christmas they have more of an idea what’s happening. These three are all the gifts I need. And don’t worry- we’re throwing in our Jewish tradition of Chinese food haha.”
In November, the Empire actress posted a photo of Cooper and Maya visiting her on set while she directed a new project. Standing beside her director’s chair, she held both children and joked in the caption that they “STILL arent’t allowed to watch screens tho.”
Brandon later shared his own reflection from the visit, writing that seeing his wife balance motherhood and her career was something he deeply admired.
“I’m really glad the twins and I were able to travel across the country so they could be reunited with mama @gabbysidibe while she directed a new movie,” he captioned his post. “Seeing them light up when they got to see her after weeks of her being gone (minus FaceTimes and videos daily) was magical. PROUD OF YOU!!”
