GABOUREY SIDIBE GETS VISIT FROM TWINS ON SET OF HER NEW MOVIE PROJECT

Gabourey Sidibe had two very special guests stop by her film set, her twin babies, Cooper and Maya!

The Give Me Back My Daughter star shared an adorable photo on Instagram over the weekend, showing the 19-month-olds in her arms as they visited her during filming for the new movie she’s directing. Standing proudly beside her director’s chair, Sidibe smiled as she balanced both toddlers, joking in her caption that the twins “…still aren’t allowed to watch screens.”

Her husband, Brandon Frankel, couldn’t help but gush in the comments. “Watching you be a boss on set and the best mom is such an honor,” he wrote.

Brandon also posted his own photos from the visit, sharing how meaningful it was for the twins to reunite with their mom after several weeks apart while she worked.

“I’m really glad the twins and I were able to travel across the country so they could be reunited with mama @gabbysidibe while she directed a new movie. Seeing them light up when they got to see her after weeks of her being gone (minus FaceTimes and videos daily) was magical.”

He concluded, “WE ARE SO PROUD OF YOU!!”

Gabourey recently opened up about balancing career and motherhood as she returned to acting for Lifetime’s Give Me Back My Daughter. She shared that stepping back into work reminded her how important it is to take moments for herself, even when motherhood feels all-consuming. “I would say take the time to — it feels stupid to say — hold space for yourself,” she told People Magazine.

“Take the time and enjoy this peace, where there’s not a tiny human asking you for things at all times. But, [also] really remember who you are. Really take the time and take the space to do it and re-fall in love with yourself really. Because truly, motherhood is so consuming.”

Earlier this year, Gabourey and Brandon celebrated Cooper and Maya’s first birthday with matching themed onesies and a sweet tribute from Dad. Frankel reflected on the joy of watching their little ones grow, walking, talking, and making everyone laugh.

“… It’s an honor to watch you become the little people you are,” he wrote. “We love being your parents — the best is yet to come.”
