THE TOP 2025 BABY NAMES ARE OUT AND NEW ONES TOP THE LIST

The 2025 baby names have been revealed, and some familiar favorites continue to lead the way.

Noah and Olivia have officially held onto their crowns as the most popular baby names of 2025, according to BabyCenter, which released its annual list of the top 100 names. The parenting platform, which has tracked baby-naming trends for more than two decades, compiled this year’s list from over 350,000 babies registered on the BabyCenter app.

During a recent TODAY segment, hosts Craig Melvin, Sheinelle Jones, and Al Roker took turns guessing the top names in honor of the big reveal and while none of them nailed the exact winners, they weren’t surprised by the results.

“We know a lot of Noahs,” Sheinelle said.

Olivia’s continued reign is no fluke either. “Olivia has been at No. 1 for six straight years and been a top 10 name in the U.S. since 2001,” Craig noted, while Al added, “I think it’s not coincidental. Did you ever read the Olivia books to your daughters, the little girl pig?”

While Noah and Olivia remain steady favorites, BabyCenter reported a few shake-ups further down the list, especially for girls. Eliana (No. 7) and Aurora (No. 9) both broke into the top 10 for the first time, pushing Ava and Luna down to No. 11 and No. 13, respectively.

For boys, there was “less movement,” though one notable shift saw Leo fall just outside the top 10, landing at No. 11, while Luca made a comeback after missing the top tier last year.
