APPLE TV+ HAS A NEW SHOW THAT ENCOURAGES KIDS TO EMBRACE THEIR UNIQUENESS

Apple TV+ has launched a new show designed to inspire children to embrace their individuality and celebrate what makes them unique. Goldie not only has engaging content and a positive message, but the series also aims to encourage self-confidence and creativity in young viewers, so that they won’t be afraid to share their uniqueness with the world.

“Goldie, our titular giant character, has giant emotions—and she can’t help but express them,” Emily Brundige, the show’s creator, executive producer, and writer, told Parents.com in a recent interview about the show.

“She is who she is, and though she often forgets, all her friends love her for it.”

Goldie is based on Brundige’s award-winning 2019 short film of the same name. According to Parents.com, Goldie is about a girl who happens to be a giant, raised in a nest by a little bird named Romeo. Per the outlet, throughout the 13 half-hour episodes, kids will see Goldie embark on epic adventures with her friends in their town of Boysenberg.

According to Brundige, the message of the show aims to teach viewers one major important life lesson: “That being different is something to celebrate, and that there’s space for everyone in this world—even giants.”

Brundige added, “Beyond that, I want kids to see their own emotions reflected in Goldie and understand that it’s OK to express them.”
