The actress and TV personality stepped out at the star-studded event held at the SLS Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Beverly Hills, on February 17, 2025, dressed in a stunning silver and all-white ensemble—a signature look she’s known for.
McCoy looked elegant in the sequined outfit, while her granddaughter sparkled in a gold sequined pants-and-top set, complementing her grandmother’s timeless style.
Taking to Instagram, McCoy shared footage from the night, showing off her cute little date.
“This is becoming our thing, 6 years in a row now. Last night me & My grandbaby attended the American Black Film Festival Honors. The 2025 American Black Film Festival Honors brought out some of Hollywood’s biggest stars to recognize and celebrate the best in Black film and television. Among the A-list attendees were Aaron Pierre, fresh off his role as the voice of “Mufasa” in Mufasa: The Lion King, and Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, star of The Nickel Boys.

Also making waves on the carpet was Keke Palmer, leading lady of the drama One of Those Days, as well as Captain America actor Giancarlo Esposito and the incomparable Ava DuVernay. The evening honored groundbreaking performances, visionary directors, and the rich storytelling that continues to elevate Black voices in entertainment.
LisaRaye’s daughter, Kai Morae, welcomed Bella Rae Jeune on December 17, 2016, making McCoy a grandmother for first time.
