Blue Ivy Carter is adding yet another accolade to her impressive resume!
At the NAACP Image Awards pre-show on Wednesday night, the 13-year-old took home an NAACP Image Award for Best Voice-Over Performance in a Motion Picture for her role as Princess Kiara in the animated film, Mufasa: The Lion King.

Carter beat out an esteemed group of nominees twice her age, including Aaron Pierre (Mufasa: The Lion King), Anika Noni Rose (Mufasa: The Lion King), Ayo Edebiri (Inside Out 2), and Lupita Nyong’o (The Wild Robot).
Blue’s latest achievement marks her second NAACP Image Award win; her first was for her contributions to “Brown Skin Girl” from 2019’s The Lion King: The Gift.
However, Blue Ivy wasn’t the only Carter making waves at the NAACP Image Awards pre-show.
Her mother, singer Beyoncé, continued her reign as music royalty with two major wins—Outstanding Female Artist and Outstanding Album for Cowboy Carter.
Fresh off her Grammy win for Album of the Year, Queen Bey shows no signs of slowing down.
Other big winners of the night included rising star and Grammy winner Doechii, who was named Outstanding New Artist, and Super Bowl halftime performer Kendrick Lamar, who took home Outstanding Hip-Hop/Rap Song for his hit Not Like Us.
Chris Brown also secured multiple wins, including Outstanding Male Artist and Outstanding International Song for Hmmm featuring Davido.
The celebration of Black excellence continues as the NAACP Image Awards’ main event is set to air live on February 22 from the Pasadena Civic Center in California. With some of the biggest names in music, film, television, and literature set to be honored, it’s shaping up to be an unforgettable night!
