AYESHA HOWARD CALLS OUT ANTHONY EDWARDS: ‘HE HAS FATHERED MULTIPLE CHILDREN’

Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards is facing a legal battle with his ex, Ayesha Howard, over financial support for their daughter, Aubri Summers Howard, born in October 2024.

According to new documents obtained by In Touch Weekly, the situation has become increasingly contentious, with both sides making serious claims against each other in court.

Legal Battle Unfolds

In December 2024, Edwards filed legal documents in Georgia requesting a DNA test to confirm paternity and establish child support obligations. According to Howard, the test confirmed Edwards as Aubri’s father, yet she claims he has remained absent, both emotionally and financially, since then.

Howard alleges that Edwards has shown no interest in supporting their daughter. In court filings, she detailed the challenges she has faced since the test results came back.

“Anthony’s continued refusal to engage with me or offer any support throughout my pregnancy and after the birth of our child has left me in an extraordinarily difficult position,” Howard stated in legal documents.

She also expressed the toll the situation has taken on her, highlighting the burden of handling two separate legal battles while caring for their newborn alone.

Jurisdiction Battle: Georgia vs. California

A key dispute in the case is where it should be handled. Howard is pushing for California, arguing that Edwards has failed to provide support or be involved in Aubri’s life. Edwards, however, wants the case to remain in Georgia, claiming that Howard’s attempt to move it is financially motivated.

Edwards’ legal team argues that California’s child support guidelines typically lead to higher payments, and they question Howard’s residency claims.

“Ayesha was receiving prenatal medical care in Georgia during the spring of 2024. Her counsel then represented that she was spending the summer in Atlanta when counsel for the parties were communicating to set up DNA paternity testing,” Edwards’ lawyer stated.

Additionally, they pointed out that Howard’s older son, whom she shares with rapper Lil Baby, resides in Georgia, suggesting that her primary residence remains there.

Howard’s Claims of Neglect

Howard, 36, is seeking full legal and physical custody of Aubri, along with financial support. She claims that when she informed Edwards, 23, of her pregnancy in January 2024, he reacted negatively and cut off all communication.

As part of her evidence, Howard submitted alleged text messages in which Edwards reportedly urged her to terminate the pregnancy and dismissed her concerns with laughter. In another message, he allegedly stated that their child would be “without a father” and that he had no intention of being involved in a child’s life he “don’t want.”

“Anthony’s behavior toward me is part of a disturbing pattern of neglect and irresponsibility, particularly in his role as a father. He has fathered multiple children with different women in a short period of time and has been involved in serious scandals,” Howard stated in her filing.

She further claimed that she was unaware of Edwards’ other children until she was six months pregnant, calling the revelation “a huge shock to the conscience.”

Edwards has strongly denied Howard’s claims, calling them false and accusing her of attempting to manipulate the legal system for financial gain. His legal team maintains that Howard’s primary residence is in Georgia and that her legal actions are a strategic move to maximize child support payments.
