Boosie is clapping back at critics who called him out for giving his daughter, Lyric Hatch, a brand-new 2025 Porsche for her sweet 16.
On Wednesday, the rapper took to Instagram to share moments from Lyric’s lavish birthday celebration, only to face backlash from some who felt the gift was “extravagant” for a teenager.
Boosie swiftly clapped back, defending his decision and pointing to Lyric’s accomplishments as a straight-A student:
“Be happy for a child smh. She’s a 16-year-old straight-A student with a 2025 Porsche that’s paid for! Only took one car back out of five, boo boo. Some kids’ phones get taken when they mess up, and some kids’ cars get taken when they mess up. It’s called #parenting. So y’all worry about them Androids and iPhones, and I’m gonna worry about these Porsches, Benzes, and Audi trucks lol.”
“And one more thing—what did your baby daddy get your child for her 16th? What did your daddy get you for your 16th?”
Boosie, a father of eight, emphasized that doing big things for his kids is part of his definition of being a good parent. “Where I’m from, doing for your kids is ‘keeping it gangsta,’” he concluded.
The rapper’s passionate defense quickly went viral, with many fans applauding his parenting style and his ability to provide for his children.
“Ignore dem Negative Nancy’s and keep winning!!! Frfr…You don’t gotta apologize for how God has showed favor over your life and you’re able to bless your kids like he has blessed you!,” one supporter wrote in the comments.
This isn’t the first time Boosie has gone all out for a milestone birthday. In 2017, he gifted another daughter, Iviona Hatch, a Porsche Panamera for her 16th birthday—a sleek ride that came with a hefty price tag of around $100,000. Clearly, luxury runs in the family!
While opinions on social media remained divided, one thing’s for sure: Boosie is unapologetic about giving his kids the best and isn’t letting anyone’s judgment dampen his joy.
