NLE Choppa enjoyed a special night out with his 4-year-old daughter, Clover, at the recent Los Angeles Lakers game.
The rapper, whose real name is Bryson Potts, took to Instagram to share snapshots from the father-daughter outing as well as a tribute to late Lakers icon, Kobe Bryant.
In his post, NLE lovingly referred to Clover as “My GiGi,” drawing a parallel between his bond with Clover and the close relationship Bryant shared with his daughter, Gianna, affectionately known as Gigi. Kobe and Gigi tragically lost their lives in a helicopter crash in January 2020.
Speaking on Kobe’s influence on his life, Choppa wrote, “My GiGi… Her Kobe . @kobebryant I wish I had a chance to meet you. You’ve inspired me beyond words can even be explained. Literally use to type on YouTube ‘Kobe motivational videos’ just to hear your voice and perspective. Thank you for igniting an undying fire.”
NLE Choppa, a proud father of two kids, welcomed Clover Brylie Potts on June 20, 2020, with his ex-girlfriend Mariah. Just last year, he welcomed his son, ChoZen Wone Da’Shun Potts, with ex Marissa Da’Nae.
In a recent interview on The Rap Dads Show, NLE Choppa shared how fatherhood has reshaped his outlook, saying, “It shows you that your kids are you. That’s the thing I see the most.”
He added, “I look at my daughter, I look at my son, I be like, man damn. Y’all pick up on the same traits that I have.”
In a now-deleted 2023 Instagram post, he called Clover his “ANGEL” and emphasized the deep love he has for her.
He wrote, “You Are The Reason I LIVE … When I Found Out You Were Conceiving You Gave Me Something To Not Only Look Forward To, But Something To Live For!”
