Drake is giving fans a peek into his close bond with his son, Adonis, by sharing a sweet note the seven-year-old wrote for him.
The message, written in blue and red ink, read: “Thank you for giving me such a good life and a good family. I love you dad.”
Adonis signed the letter, “Adonis to Dad.”
The rapper, who shares Adonis with French artist Sophia Brussaux, recently celebrated his son’s seventh birthday with a SpongeBob SquarePants-themed bash.
Drake gave fans a glimpse of the festivities on social media, posting a series of snapshots that showed him and Adonis posing in front of a vibrant Bikini Bottom-inspired backdrop.
The setup included all the signature elements from the beloved cartoon—bright jellyfish, colorful underwater scenes, and those iconic flower-shaped clouds.
Adonis, all smiles in a bold yellow SpongeBob shirt, looked thrilled to be celebrating with his dad by his side. Drake simply captioned the post, “Big Don.”
Adonis, who spends time between France and Drake’s homes in Los Angeles and Toronto, is already a familiar face in the public eye. He’s been spotted with his dad at NBA games and even made appearances in Drake’s music videos.
At five years old, Adonis starred in the “8AM in Charlotte” ” video and contributed his artwork to the cover for Drake’s album, For All the Dogs.
Then last year, he surprised fans by releasing his own freestyle and music video, “My Man Freestyle,” showing he’s already a natural entertainer.
At the 2021 Billboard Awards, Adonis joined the stage with his father as Drake received the Artist of the Decade Award. The “You Are My Everything” rapper dedicated the award to his son saying, “I want to dedicate this award to you.”
