Ciara is “grateful” for the time she got to spend with her husband, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson, and their children, while on tour with Missy Elliott, Busta Rhymes, and Timbaland for the Out of This World — The Missy Elliott Experience Tour.
“My kids traveled with me, and I couldn’t have done it any other way,” the 38-year-old mom told People Magazine in a recent interview.
The singer, who was in attendance at the Baby2Baby Event Initiative to Combat Maternal Mortality event on September 10, said her children enjoyed being on the road with Missy Elliott and Busta Rhymes.
“They were like little precious babies of a tour having so much fun with Auntie, Missy, and Uncle Busta. I mean, it’s just the energy was just incredible,”
Ciara went on to say that she was also “lucky” to have her husband with them as well. “So I can say the first summer with four that wasn’t too bad.”
Ciara continued, “It was the most amazing time with my babies. I was like, ‘This is what life is about.’ So, the little joys in life. I’m so grateful.”
As the tour wrapped up and Ciara turned her attention to preparing for the school year, she acknowledged the transition from a hectic schedule to the daily demands of motherhood.
“Every day is nonstop, but it’s chaotic, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. So first summer [with] four is crazy, but we’re doing all right. We’re making it happen.”
Ciara and her husband share four children: Sienna Princess, 7, Win Harrison, 4, and Amora Princess, 9 months. Ciara is also mother, and Wilson, stepfather, to Future Zahir, 10, with whom she shares with ex-fiancé, rapper Future.
