Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Boosie expressed his outrage and concern, urging that immediate action be taken to protect students.
Boosie, who has eight children with six women, took to his X formely Twitter and wrote:
He wrote, “The next president needs to make a law that puts 4 armed snipers in every school in this country to protect our children. Every year this country shreds billions of dollars at the end of the year and throws it away. Why can’t some of that money be spent to protect our children? We protect sports, entertainment venues, casinos, federal buildings, etc. We protect anything that brings money, but we can’t protect our own flesh and blood. #thechildren.”
Boosie, a father of eight, further revealed his own plans in light of the tragedy. He mentioned considering homeschooling his children, stating, “Calling my baby momas. I’m thinking home school.”
The alleged shooter, 14-year-old Colt Gray, will face murder charges as an adult, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI).
The FBI had previously investigated Gray for making school shooting threats last year, but no arrest was made at that time. Reports indicate that Gray used an AR platform-style weapon during the attack.
In response to the tragedy, the Barrow County School District has announced the closure of all schools for the remainder of the week.
Crisis counselors will be available at the district’s Central Office from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday and Friday.
