GARCELLE BEAUVAIS’ SON, JAX, WILL NO LONGER APPEAR ON ‘THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF BEVERLY HILLS’

On a recent episode of the ABC Audio and GMA’s Pop Culture Moms podcast, multi-hyphenate celebrity Garcelle Beauvais announced that her son Jax will not be appearing in the upcoming season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

The 57-year-old explained that her 16-year-old son will no longer appear on the reality show as he has decided to step away from RHOBH due to a “negative” experience.

“Right before this season, Jax said to me, ‘Mom, I can’t do it anymore. It was too negative for me.’ I respected that, and so he’s not on this season at all,” the mother-of-three shared on the podcast in regards to her son and his appearance on the 14th season of the Bravo reality show.

Jax’s decision follows a troubling incident that occurred in August 2022. The twin received hateful comments online after Beauvais’ co-star, Erika Girardi, directed an inappropriate outburst towards the teen, ladened with profanity, during his mother’s 55th birthday party.

The hateful whirlwind extended beyond just Jax, encompassing other cast members’ children as well. Unfortunately this incident garnered a wave of harsh social media commentary from the masses.

Despite continuing on the show, Jax found the experience increasingly difficult and expressed his desire to leave. Beauvais emphasized that while she respects his choice, the situation was distressing, especially as it coincided with Jax’s first week of high school.

“I always leave it up to them every season, Beauvais shared referencing Jax and his twin brother Jaid.

She continued, “When that happened with Jax, it blew my mind, because nobody deserves it. Nobody’s kids deserve it. But I thought, you know, he’s doing this because of me and it’s our family. And it was his first week of high school. And for him to be subjected to such ugliness and such, it was just horrible. It was horrible.”

During the unsavory controversy, at the time, Jax took to Instagram to address the situation, expressing his wish to remain a “normal kid” and not be thrust into the spotlight.

Jax stated that he did not sign up for the drama of the show and was struggling with the intrusive and hurtful, sometimes racist comments about himself and his family. The 16-year-old has since made his Instagram account private and expressed gratitude to supportive fans.

Beauvais is also mother to Oliver, 32, and Jax’s twin, Jaid.
