With the addition of Caius Chai to the family, Steph and Ayesha Curry now have a full house, becoming a family of six. Keep reading to learn more about the Curry’s adorable four children.
Let’s start off with the eldest of the Curry children, Riley Elizabeth Curry, who was born a year after the couple wed in 2011.
Riley Elizabeth Curry, 12
Riley is a true combination of both of her parents. She is a talented athlete in addition to developing top notch skills in the kitchen. Curry told People Magazine that there is “no pressure” on her to follow in his or his mother’s footsteps.
He continued telling the outlet that, she is “interested in volleyball,” not basketball, so that in itself is a deviation from the Curry last name on the basketball court.
“It’s going to be really interesting to see what path she takes because she can throw down in the kitchen already,” Ayesha told the outlet in a June 2022 interview.
“She made us this chicken piccata the other night from scratch,” she continued. “I did absolutely nothing. People were hitting me up like, ‘That was fake, right?’ And I’m like, ‘Absolutely not, no.’ She did it from start to finish and it was absolutely delicious. I was so proud I could cry.”
Ryan Carson Curry, 9
Ryan, according to her father, “is still figuring out if sports is her thing or not.” However, we do know that she is a “nature girl.”
For her seventh birthday, both the Golden State Warriors point guard and the Sweet July Skin entrepreneur shared special wishes to their daughter. Ayesha gave us even more insight into the young Curry’s personality, saying that she is, “… compassionate, head strong, caring, smart, beyond loving and certainly beats to her own drum!”
Canon W. Jack Curry, 6
Ayesha has described her eldest son as a “boys boy” who is into basketball and her “most social” child.
“The Full Plate: Flavor-Filled, Easy Recipes for Families with No Time and a Lot to Do” author told People in a previous interview that they already had Canon’s name picked out on their honeymoon.
“We had his name picked out and then we had another girl’s name picked out that we didn’t end up using for Riley,” she shared at the time. “But Canon always stuck with us. France is one of our favorite places to vacation, and so his name’s actually French and it means young wolf, which Stephen loved because we kind of consider ourselves a wolf pack.”
Caius Chai Curry, 3 months
Caius Chai is the latest addition to the Curry clan. The three-month-old was born on 5/11/24, round out the newly formed family of six.
Earlier this year, Ayesha showcased her baby bump on the cover of the inaugural digital issue of her magazine, “Sweet July.” In an accompanying essay, she shared that although she and Steph believed they were finished having children, they came to the realization that “someone was missing” from their family.
Ayesha’s fourth pregnancy was labeled a “geriatric pregnancy” as a result of her advanced maternal age. Ayesha spoke out in defense of women who chose to become mothers at older ages saying that, language needs to be changed when addressing these women.
“I think there’s something that needs to be more nuanced when it comes to women, their age and conversations around having children. Many women in their 30s and 40s are going through this for the first time, and being told you’re ‘old’ feels alarming and wild. I think the narrative needs to be shifted a little bit.”
