Kiyan Anthony has shown his love for his mom, La La Anthony, in an artistic and permanent way.
The 17-year-old recently got a tattoo on his forearm, featuring an image of La La accompanied by a touching message: “Dear Mom, you continuously put me before yourself. You are my why. I thank God for you every day.”
According to inkednba, renowned tattoo artist Steve Wiebe created the tat, which Kiyan could be seen sporting on his recent trip to Tokyo, Japan with his mom.
La La has been sharing their adventures on Instagram, posting a series of snaps and a video of them visiting the busy city.
She captioned in Japanese, “Tokyo has my heart.”
Additional Instagram stories showcase their fun-filled activities, including shopping, Katana lessos, and a laser show.
Kiyan got his first tattoo, which reads “Creator of my own Reality”, when he was just 16 years old.
La La initially hesitated to let him get a tattoo, despite having gotten her own first tattoo at the same age.
Last year, she shared a photo of Kiyan’s first ink on her Instagram story, writing, “I finally let him get a tattoo for his 16th birthday.”
A year prior, Kiyan had asked if he could get a tattoo for his 16th birthday to which she replied, “You haven’t even turned 15 yet. No, you have lost your mind. What 16 year old has a tattoo?”
She added, “No you are not. Tattoo when you turn 21. Honestly maybe 18.”
Reflecting on her own experience, La La admitted in a post, “Okkkkk so I did get my first tattoo at 15/16 years old but that first one I regret so bad!! Funny how when you have a kid the same things happen all over again. But I do think 16 is too young for @kiyananthony.”
