This year’s show, held on Saturday, July 13, whisked kids and families away to Bikini Bottom for the ultimate underwater party, celebrating 25 years of SpongeBob SquarePants.
Hosted by the voices of SpongeBob SquarePants and Patrick Star, Tom Kenny and Bill Fagerbakke, the event featured enhanced graphics, high-tech motion capture, and augmented reality, making it a visual delight.
Highlights of the Night
Serena Williams: The legendary athlete, entrepreneur, and cultural icon received the prestigious Legend Gold Blimp Award. Presented by Kelly Rowland, Serena was honored for her incredible career that spans sports, fashion, beauty, and lifestyle.
Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell: The beloved duo chatted with SpongeBob and Patrick before winning the “Fan-Favorite Movie” award for Good Burger 2. Their reunion on stage was a nostalgic moment for fans of all ages.
Nickelodeon Our World Award: This inaugural award was given to 14 honorees, chosen by the Nickelodeon Our World coalition of partners, in collaboration with the Jefferson Awards. It recognized individuals making a significant impact in their communities and beyond.
