Kimora Lee Simmons is one proud mama as her sons, Gary and Kenzo, recently graduated from 8th grade!
“My boys @kenzoklh and @1foster_gf graduated from 8th grade and are off to top high schools in the US for basketball and football, respectively! I couldn’t be a prouder mom! I love you young men with all my heart! Happy summer and congrats to all the grads!” the fashion mogul shared on Instagram.
In May, the 49-year-old entrepreneur and former model celebrated her son Kenzo’s 15th birthday with a series of photos and videos on Instagram. Among the snapshots were glimpses of Kenzo showcasing his basketball skills.
“Happy 15th birthday to my 6’7 baby @kenzoklh !! You’re such an amazing person! So kind, sweet, humble, handsome and smart! Keep up the great work! I’m so proud of you and I love you so much!”
Kimora, who shares Kenzo with ex Djimon Hounsou, is also a devoted mother to daughters Aoki Lee and Ming Lee from her previous marriage to Russell Simmons, as well as son Wolfe with estranged husband Tim Leissner. In 2020, she expanded her family by adopting son Gary.
“I’m a single mom of five kids, and I know how hard it can be,” she said in a previous interviewwith People.com. “I don’t want to start crying, but on Mother’s Day, I know what it feels like to raise your kids and to get up every day only caring about them.”
Reflecting on her journey, she added, “And it doesn’t matter, if you’re rich and famous or you’re this thing or this singer, that singer, at the end of the day, you’re a mom or you’re a cousin, you’re an auntie, you’re a family member, you’re a community person, a caregiver, you’re just there trying to make everything come together.”
