Erica Mena and Safaree Samuels came together to celebrate their son Legend’s 3rd birthday in grand style. The exes put their differences aside to create an unforgettable Jurassic-themed birthday bash for their little one on Saturday.
The party, aptly titled “Legend’s Park,” was a dinosaur lover’s dream come true. From the moment guests arrived, they were transported to a prehistoric paradise, complete with life-sized dinosaur decorations and a stunning Jurassic-themed cake that was nothing short of legendary.
On her son’s official birthday on June 28th, Erica took to Instagram to share a sweettribute to her son. “Happy 3rd Birthday To My Champion! Legend Brian since the day I gave birth to you we really been beating all odds. You keep me on my toes and I Love every bit of it. I’m so honored to be your Mom. You already a little Man. It’s BIG Plans with you Papa.”
Erica Mena welcomed her first child, King Conde,, when she was just 19 years old. She later welcomed her two children with Safaree: daughter Safire and son Legend.
The former couple, who tied the knot in October 2019, saw their marriage come to an end less than two years later, with Erica filing for divorce while pregnant with Legend.
Their divorce was finalized in 2022, with both parties sharing joint custody of their children.
Reflecting on her struggles post-divorce, Erica shared in 2022, “I was really like breaking in pieces day by day,” she told reunion host Claudia Jordan. Mena went on to explain that she sought therapy during her darkest hours after giving birth to their second child.
She continued, “I’ve found so many lessons that I needed to learn, and I was able to tap into, like, I attracted this energy into my life. I’ve had some faults in my marriage, but at the same time I’ve also swept so much under the rug, and I think that’s why I got taken advantage of — because for the first time I thought I was safe,” she explained.
