Father’s Day is a time to celebrate dads in unique and heartfelt ways, creating unforgettable moments. This year, NBA legend Dwyane Wade did something extra special to mark the occasion. In an Instagram reel on Kaavia’s official page, the apple of her daddy’s eye can be seen enjoying some pampering and quality time with her dad and her baby doll a.k.a her “sister,” Coco.
The reel features Wade, Kaavia, and Coco, having a spa day, for which the “Shady Baby,” added some matching lipstick to her pretty pink princess dress. In addition to Kaavia’s mani-pedi, she and Wade also had some fun on the trampoline. We also got the opportunity to see some of Kaavia’s writing skills, as the camera caught a special note to her father which read, “I love you daddy.”
We couldn’t agree more with the reels caption, “What better gift than me? Happy Father’s Day Daddy! @dwyanewade #HappyFathersDay #FathersDay.”
Wade’s wife, Gabrielle Union, celebrated her husband in her Instagram stories, calling him the, “best dad ever.” Additionally, she posted a touching message to not only Wade, but to her own father who is suffering from dementia.
“As my Dad’s dementia progresses, I’m left with nothing but gratitude for what a great father I have and all the memories he still remembers. The importance of the relationship between my Dad and my husband, as men and mostly certainly as fathers who cherish their children, is one of the greatest gifts I’ve ever received,” Union wrote.
“I’m also grateful for the gift of my father-in-law and the care with which he takes with my Dad and his son. Happy Father’s Day to all who celebrate and massive hugs for those suffering on this day.”
To wrap up his Father’s Day celebration, Wade posted a carousel of images of all of his children, captioning the post, “The way I do Fatherhood…#HappyFathersDay.”
Wade is father to five children. He shares Kaavia James with Union. He shares Zaya, 17, and Zaire, 22, with ex-wife Siovaughn Funches. Wade shares his 10-year-old son, Xavier with Aja Metoyer. He is also the legal guardian for his nephew 21-year-old Dahveon Morris.
