Drake had an eventful Father’s Day with his son Adonis and his dad Dennis Graham.
The rapper took to Instagram to share photos of the trio looking picture-perfect as they posed on what appeared to be a farm. In the photos, Dennis and Adonis wore cowboy outfits, while Drake opted for jeans and a camouflage vest.
“Three generations. Happy Father’s Day to the ones guiding their daughters and sons,” Drake captioned the sweet photos.
The musician shares his son Adonis with Sophie Brussaux, who joined in on the Father’s Day celebrations. Taking to Instagram, Brussaux posted a message on Instagram, saying, “For all the the fathers…Happy Father’s Day, along with a touching photo of Drake and Adonis spending quality time together.
The road to co-parenting hasn’t always been smooth for Drake and Sophie.
In October 2018, Drake opened up to LeBron James on his HBO series, The Shop, about their relationship. “I am a single father learning to communicate with a woman who, we’ve had our moments. I do want to be able to explain to my son what happened. But I don’t have any desire for him to not love his mother.”
He continued, “I don’t ever want the world to be angry at his mother. We have found ourselves in a situation and we are both equally responsible. Now, I’m just really excited to be a great father.”
“No matter what happens, I have unconditional love for the mother of my child because I want him to love his mother and I have to project that energy,” he added.
Adonis was born in October 2017, and a paternity test confirmed Drake as the father in March 2018. The world first learned about Adonis through rapper Pusha T’s diss track, “The Story of Adidon,” in May 2018. A month later, Drake confirmed his fatherhood with the release of his album, Scorpion.
