Kyla Pratt and Danny Kirkpatrick’s daughter, Lyric Kirkpatrick, is celebrating a major milestone! The 13-year-old graduated from 8th grade this week, and her proud parents couldn’t be happier.
On Monday, Kyla shared a video on TikTok of Lyric sitting next to her dad at a restaurant. Lyric looked stunning in a green dress with a kente cloth and a money chain around her neck. “Love their relationship. Daddy’s girl,” Kyla captioned the video.
Fans couldn’t get enough of the adorable clip, with many commenting on how much Lyric resembles her father. One fan exclaimed, “How can someone look exactly like both parents? Y’all genes snapped!”
Last year, Kyla wowed her followers by posting a side-by-side video of herself with Lyric. The two looked so much alike that fans were convinced they could pass as twins, despite their nearly 25-year age difference.
The brief TikTok, which received millions of views and hundreds of thousands of likes, featured mother and daughter in matching black outfits, smiling together to the tune of “Baby I’m Yours” by Cass Elliot.
Kyla, best known for her role as Penny in Disney’s “The Proud Family” and her appearances in TV series like “One on One” and “Recovery Road,” has two daughters with her longtime partner, Danny Kirkpatrick.
Lyric was born on November 17, 2010, and their younger daughter, Liyah, arrived on August 5, 2013. Kyla also has a close relationship with Danny’s son from a previous relationship, Danny Kirkpatrick Jr., whom she affectionately calls her “bonus baby.”
In a January 2023 interview with PIX11 News,the actress revealed that both of her daughters are showing interest in acting. “They’re characters. Their parents are both artists in every single way, so there’s no way around it,” she said.
“But they love it! As long as they love it, as long as they have fun, I will support it,” Pratt added
