John Legend is one proud papa! The Grammy-winning singer celebrated his son Miles Stephens’ sixth birthday on Thursday, May 16, sharing the sweetest tribute on Instagram.
The post featured heartwarming pictures of Miles smiling from ear to ear while holding birthday balloons, another of the young boy in his basketball uniform, a beautiful father-son moment featuring just Legend and Miles, and snaps from their family vacation trip to Thailand.
Legend captioned the post: “Our beautiful big boy Miles Theodore turns 6 today!”
He continued praising him, saying, “He’s so smart, loving and big-hearted and somehow very good at sports despite his father. We love you, Miles!”
In October 2023, John Legend told PEOPLE Magazine that Miles was very serious about his duties as an older brother. Legend and Chrissy Teigen also have thre other kids apart from Miles: daughters Esti,16 months and Luna Simone, 8, and son, Wren Alexander, 10 months.
Legend mentioned that Miles initially had a hard time stepping into that role as a big brother, saying that it took him “a second to get used to not being the baby anymore.”
“But he’s really grown into being a really great older brother, and Luna’s a wonderful older sister,” he continued. “They love holding their little siblings, they love just playing with them, and they’re embracing the big sister and big brother role very well.”
Legend and Teigen enjoy the chaos and energy that their six-member family brings. Teigen, in particular, recognizes the abundance of love and energy in their family.
“Everyone goes, ‘How are the babies?’ And I go, ‘There’s a lot of them!’ Like I don’t really know how to respond, it’s just a lot,” Teigen shared during an interview with The Jennifer Hudson Show in February. “It’s so good, it’s chaotic, it’s crazy.”
