Over the weekend, Knoxville, TN was set ablaze with the fiery performances of none other than Nelly and Ashanti at the Spin The Block concert on Saturday, April 27.
But beyond the electrifying music and the hyped-up crowd, there was a heartwarming backstage moment between the couple that stole the spotlight.
In a photo shared by rapper Nelly in his Instagram stories, Ashanti can be seen sitting on her fiance’s lap while he gazes away.
“Of course not, Beautiful. I’m fine. Luv you 2”, he captioned the snap.
With Nelly’s humor and Ashanti’s subtle expression, the photo became an instant hit, sparking a flurry of comments and reactions across social media platforms.
One fan speculated that Ashanti had queried, “Am I too heavy, babe?”
Upon catching wind of the post, Ashanti responded, “Lmaoooo! Babe! Ima knock u out!”

Nelly and Ashanti rekindled their romance in 2023 after a decade of being apart. Earlier this month, the confirmed that they are expecting their first child together.
Ashanti recently announced her pregnancy and engagement to Nelly during an interview with ESSENCE.
