Shad Moss, a.k.a Bow Wow, and Joie Chavis, have a 13 year old on their hands! On April 27th, the proud parents took to Instagram to honor their daughter, Shai Moss, on her milestone birthday.
In an Instagram video, Joie Chavis wished her daughter a happy birthday as Shai woke up to the start of her special day. Later, it was dad’s turn to sweep Shai off her feet for a memorable birthday getaway. In the evening, the duo headed to the renowned Nobu restaurant with some of Shais friends.
In an Instagram post, Bow Wow shared a sweet message alongside a photo of him and Shai, stating, “Started as a teen, now I have one. “Happy birthday @_shaimoss #girldad #thebig13.” His Instagram stories echoed the sentiment, with Bow Wow expressing his love for his “little 13-year-old” daughter.
At just 13 years old, Shai Moss is already proving to be a multi-talented force to be reckoned with. Not only can she dance, sing, and act, but she has also recently made her on-screen debut in the movie “A Screen Shot To Santa.”
The Tubi film, directed by Monica Floyd, boasts a star-studded cast including Essence Atkins, Tony Rock, Kennedy Stephen, and Torrei Hart. “A Screen Shot To Santa” follows the heartwarming tale of two sisters who join forces to outsmart intruders on a stormy Christmas Eve, showcasing Shai’s budding talent alongside seasoned actors.
Despite her evident skills and potential, Shai is taking a step back from the limelight, much to the surprise of fans and followers. During a recent Q&A session with fans, Joie Chavis revealed that her daughter “doesn’t like to be recorded” and has reservations about pursuing acting. Joie emphasized Shai’s desire to enjoy a typical childhood filled with school, sports, and time with friends.
Bow Wow echoed similar sentiments back in 2022, emphasizing his support for Shai’s decisions regarding her future. “Shai don’t wanna act,” he shared during a Twitter session. “She’s such a natural and def can do it, but I’m not the type parent to force her to do it to follow my legacy.”
He continued, “I want her to choose what makes her happy and as her dad im going to support her. Plus i aint have a childhood. I’m actually living through her.”
