Preschoolers across the world and their parents are rejoicing as Paramount+’s new series, Dora gets renewed for season two!
You read that right, the new series, which just debuted on April 12 has just gotten the green light for another official season of ¡aventuras en español!
“Kids and family programming is consistently one of the most popular genres on Paramount+ and we’re thrilled that our audience has already embraced DORA,” Jeff Grossman, Executive Vice President, Programming, Paramount+, shared in a statement regarding the exciting renewal news. “It’s an incredible opportunity to introduce this beloved character and iconic franchise to a whole new generation.”
Ramsey Naito, President, Paramount Animation and Nickelodeon Animation, added, “Our audiences have embraced the new DORA series with open arms, and it’s incredible how she continues to capture the imaginations of preschoolers around the world with her extraordinary rainforest adventures. We can’t wait for kids to discover all of the new fantastical places and colorful characters in the second season while learning and playing along with their good friend Dora.”
According to JustJaredJr.com, Dora “centers on everyone’s favorite bilingual explorer, Dora, and her best monkey friend, Boots, as they embark on epic adventures in a fantastical rainforest. Guided by trustworthy Map, Dora and her friends must work together to overcome many obstacles while being challenged by the sneakiest fox, Swiper.”
The Dora voice cast will include: Dora (Diana Zermeño), Boots (Asher Colton Spence), Map (Anairis Quiñones), and Swiper (Marc Weiner). The original voice of Dora The Explorer, Kathleen Herles, will return to the series as Dora’s “Mami” and Mike Smith Rivera joins the cast as Papi.
Additional cast members include: Maria Canals-Barrera as Abuela; Danny Burstein as Grumpy Old Troll and The Fiesta Trio’s Frog and Marmoset; Katarina Sky as Backpack; Donovan Monzon-Sanders as Tico; Tandi Fomukong as Isa; Quintún Muñoz as Benny; Chris Gifford as Big Red Chicken; and Quiñones as The Fiesta Trio’s Armadillo. Featured guest stars this season are Taboo as Quickatoo and Kate del Castillo as Ale the Alebrije.
