Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert’s lawyers are back in court in behind a new filing amidst their child custody battle. In a recent filing obtained by TMZ, Taylor is alleging that Shumpert’s new “friend” is “confusing” their children.
In new court documents, Taylor’s attorney is asking the court to allow her to call upon a child psychologist to testify in their ongoing proceedings regarding the impact of a new female “friend” sleeping over at Shumpert’s home while his minor children, 8-year-old Junie and 3-year-old Rue, were present.
Taylor’s attorney went on to tell the court that the allegations were not hearsay, but rather fact as the singer/actress/and director saw and heard the woman and her daughter during a FaceTime call with her children. It was also alleged that the former NBA player also took his children and the new female friend on an outing together to SkyZone.
Per TMZ, in the documents, Taylor feels that Shumpert does not need to flaunt his relationship while he is enjoying his brief custodial time with his daughters. Shumpert has custody of Junie and Rue on the first and third weekend of every month, plus a handful of Fridays.
This is only the latest allegation among many. Three weeks or so ago, Taylor alleged that Shumpert had not paid “one cent” of child support since he had vacated the family home, calling on the court to hold him in contempt.
In that filing she stated, alleged that Shumpert has not paid, “one cent of child support … for anything for the minor children such as food, clothing, shoes, grooming, extracurricular activities, or anything else, other than the oldest minor child’s tuition.”
And of course, Shumpert is vehemently denying the allegations, stating that there was never even an actual child support order. In documents obtained by RadarOnline.com, Shumpert’s attorney stated that, “as confirmed by the complete absence of any request by [Taylor] for a temporary hearing, temporary child support, or temporary relief of any kind until she filed this [recent] motion.”
“The likely reason why [Taylor] has not demanded child support is because [Shumpert] has handsomely provided financial support for his children and his family, including but not limited to providing a luxurious home and utilities. [Shumpert] denies that he has obstructed any efforts toward settlement of this case by agreement.”
Shumpert nor his attorneys have yet to comment on this recent allegation.
