Happy Birthday wishes are in order for The Little Mermaid actress, Halle Bailey. The songstress recently turned 24-years-old and she celebrating her birthday by sharing new pics of her cuddling her son, Halo.
The Color Purple actress posted a carousel of images to kick-off the weekend, featuring both of her boys: 26-year-old boyfriend, DDG, and their adorable baby boy, Halo.
The songstress captioned her post, “This is 24.”
In honor of Bailey’s birthday, earlier in the week, the trio set off on an island escape for their “first family trip”. Documenting Halo’s first official getaway of YouTube, DDG marveled at just how well his son took to being on the road.
“I didn’t get on the plane till I was 16. 90 days years old fresh out the country…yeah boy doing it early,” the “She Don’t Play” rapper commented.
DDG is trying vying for boyfriend/father-of-the year. earlier this month, prior to their vacation getaway, the YouTuber celebrated Bailey for being the “best mother” at the first-ever “Halle Bailey Awards” on Snapchat.
The 23-year-old didn’t bring home any NAACP Awards this year; but, that didn’t stop DDG from awarding her the coveted “Best Mother” award.
“I want to give this award out for the best one ever, and this award goes to the one and only, Halle Bailey. For the best mother award, wooo!” DDG said in one of the clips as Bailey is holding Halo, looking surprised.
“I’m crying,” Bailey can be heard saying as she wiped away tears. “Thank you.”
It seems as if, although it was a bit of an adjustment, both Bailey and DDG are settling in quite nicely to parenthood.
Earlier this year, during the GRAMMY U Masterclass, Bailey shared insights into how motherhood has profoundly changed her. “I feel like I’ve reached this new level of maturity, especially being a mother now, which is so crazy to say,” Bailey shared. “It has opened up a whole new can of worms for me, honestly. I am obsessed with my baby. It’s insane.”
“It’s literally like your heart is in your hands in this beautiful being,” she added, speaking to the crowd of holding her child. “I just feel like I have such greater purpose and so much more to do for him and so much more that I want him to be able to experience. It gives me a new motivation and drive and passion for myself, for my family, for my life.”
We cannot wait to see more of this endearing trio. We definitively can’t get enough of them! Happy Birthday, Halle!
