The upcoming music-filled comedy adventure movie follows the Green family as they embark on an adventurous outer space-bound vacation. When thrill-seeker Cricket tricks his family into taking a “road trip” in space, chaos in the cosmos quickly ensues. Despite growing frustrations between Cricket and his dad, Bill, the two must learn to appreciate each other’s unique perspectives in order to prevent Big City from being destroyed by an interstellar disaster.
The cast of the upcoming animated movie will feature both series regular voices and a few newcomers.
The regulars cast will include: Chris Houghton (Cricket Green), Marieve Herington (Tilly Green), Bob Joles (Bill Green), Artemis Pebdani (Gramma Alice), Wendi McLendon-Covey (Nancy Green), Zeno Robinson (Remy) and Anna Akana (Gloria).
Guest voices will include: Renée Elise Goldsberry (Colleen Voyd), Cheri Oteri (Gwendolyn Zapp), Astronaut Scott Kelly (himself), Joe Lo Truglio (BigTech Scientist), Jack McBrayer (Farmbot) and Raven-Symoné (Maria Media). Astronaut Scott Kelly will join in the fun and voice himself.

Big City Greens, debuted in June 2018, was the No. 2 most-watched kids animated series of 2023, with more than 2 billion hours watched across linear and streaming. The series follows the offbeat adventures of 10-year-old Cricket Green (voiced by Chris Houghton), a mischievous and optimistic country boy who moved to the big city with his wildly out-of-place family. The show is heavily influenced by the brothers’ childhood growing up in St. Johns, Michigan, a small rural town north of Lansing, also known as the mint capital of the world. Many of the characters are inspired by real-life family members and childhood townsfolk.
It looks like there will still be more Big City Greens adventures to come in addition to the new movie. Creators of the series, Chris Houghton and Shane Houghton, just inked a multi-year deal with Disney branded television.
Big City Greens The Movie: Spacecation will debut on June 6th at 8pm ET/PT on Disney Channel and next day on Disney+.
