Khloe Kardashian makes sure that her children, as well as her nieces and nephews, get to enjoy a wide range of wonderful childhood experiences. One of these annual traditions includes a trip to the local firehouse.
Over the weekend, Kardashian took her 19-month-old son,Tatum, on his first firehouse visit, and she couldn’t resist sharing the sweet moments on Snapchat.
One adorable image captured from the outing featured Tatum seated on a red firetruck, dressed in a miniature firefighter uniform.
Another image showed the toddler in gray shorts and a red shirt, resting one hand on the truck, glancing back, looking as if he wants to ask, “this one is mine, right”?
“Every year I take True and Dream and all of the cousins to our local fire houses,” Kardashian wrote on her Snapchat Story. “I’m so grateful for all the hard work, the police department, and the fire department do for all of us and sometimes we bring them ice cream, and around the holidays we always add toys to their toy drive…”
“But I love to take the kids to visit [the firehouse] and they always have a great time seeing the firemen and learning about what they do. This year we took Tatum…,” she concluded.
The 39-year-old shares two children, Tatum and his five-year-old sister, True, with NBA star, Tristan Thompson. In a cover interview with tmrw earlier this year, Kardashian talked to the outlet about the “importance of protecting her kids’ innocence,” considering her past with their father.
“With me and Tristan, would it be really easy to never talk to him again and to just badmouth him or whatever? Of course. But it’s way harder to be nice. It’s way harder when you’re really mad at someone, it’s really hard to sit in their face in front of your kids and be like, ‘Hi!’ “
Kardashian continued, delving further into her co-parenting relationship with Thompson.
“Trust me, that’s not how I feel every day. I had to learn to take control of my feelings. There were so many times that my feelings got control of me and I was impulsive and I tweeted something or posted something and things that you regret. But in my opinion, I’ll never regret being a nice person.”
She concluded, “I want my kids to have beautiful relationships with their dad. And if we’re blessed enough to have a dad that wants to be there and wants to show up and be hands-on, why would I prevent that from happening?”
In addition to True and Tatum, Thompson is also father sons Theo, with whom he shares with Maralee Nichols and Prince Oliver with whom he shares with Jordan Craig.
