Snoop Dogg, aka Papa Snoop, as his 12 grandchildren call him, is known for being a proponent of marijuana usage. However, being a known connoisseur is now what has the 52-year-old rapper in hot water as he has come under fire for allegedly smoking around his grandchildren.
Earlier this week, Snoop Dogg shared a video on Instagram featuring himself in the studio with two of his granddaughters, Cordoba and Chateau Broadus, along with their parents, Cordell Broadus (Snoop’s son) and Phia Broadus.
Observant fans noticed what appeared to be a joint in his hand, leading to criticism in the comments section. Nonetheless, amidst the backlash, some social media users have come to his defense.
One social media user wrote, “Nobody and I do mean NOBODY smoking around my babies.”
Another added, “Like Seriously … Is there a blunt in his hand in front of the grand babies? Come man, damn.”
“I smoked around mine and also made damn sho schooled them on what’s going on at a young age nobody was gone be questioning mines they was on it,” one user wrote, coming to Snoop Dogg’s defense.
Another noticed and stated that, “It’s not lit so let them be.”
And one person simply said, “Snoop doesn’t smoke around his granbabies.”
“It ain’t lit leave the Dogg alone with all the $%^@& man, Dogg ain’t gone blaze in front of the grandkids common sense…”
Snoop Dogg truly does love and dote on his grandchildren. In a previous interview with People Magazine, Snoop told the outlet that, “… And my grandkids are my everything because they all individually get a piece of my heart and they’re different.”
Although Snoop Dogg has yet to comment on the video, it does not seem that he would intentionally do something to hurt his grandchildren. People will always draw their own conclusions as to if there is more more to this story than not.
