Davido has immortalized his late son Ifeanyi, who tragically passed away in 2022, in a remarkable piece of jewelry.
The pendant, which was crafted by celebrity jeweler Gabriel Jacobs, boasts an impressive 8,000 stones, including natural brown, champagne, and black diamonds.
The sparkling piece is a detailed representation of Ifeanyi’s face, portraying him wearing a crown made of flowers
According to TMZ, the jewelery weighs a total of 60 carats and is valued at $250,000.
However, what sets the necklace apart is not just its opulence, but the deeply personal touches woven into its design. The headwrap encircling Ifeanyi’s visage was meticulously crafted from an array of diamonds, opal, topaz, and citrine – each stone representing the birthstones of the late toddler, Davido, and his wife Chioma.
Ifeanyi was three years old when he tragically drowned in a family pool in October 2022. A year later in 2023, Davido and his wife Chioma welcomed twins, marking a bittersweet turn of events for the family.
While speaking at the United Masters Select Con event a few months ago, Davido reflected on the emotional journey of losing his son and welcoming his twins.
“When my wife and I found out, we were shaking, and it was in the same month my son passed. My son passed away last year in October, and my wife gave birth this year in October,” he said.
Davido, also known as David Adedeji Adeleke, reportedly has a total of six children. His eldest, Imade, was born in 2015 with Sophia Momodu. In 2017 he welcomed his second daughter, Hailey, with his then-partner, Amanda.
David Ifeanyi Adedeji Adeleke Jr., affectionately known as David Adeleke Jr., is Davido’s third child. Born on Sunday, October 20, 2019 to Chioma and Davido, he holds a special place as the musician’s first son.
