Super Bowl headliner Usher Raymond isn’t just a talented singer, songwriter, and dancer. He’s also a devoted father. So how many kids does the entertainer have and who are they?
Usher Raymond IV is father to four children. He shares sons, Usher “Cinco” V, 16, and Naviyd Ely, 15, with ex-wife, Tameka Foster. Additionally, Usher is also father two little ones: daughter, Sovereign Bo, 3, and his youngest son, Sire Castrello, 2, with whom he shares with his longtime girlfriend, Jenn Goicoechea. Keep reading to find out more about Usher’s progeny.
Usher “Cinco” Raymond V
Named after his father, Cinco was born on Nov. 27, 2007. Cinco has had to deal with a lot in his young life. From almost drowning at the age of five to being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, this 16-year-old is proving to be a resilient young man that is embracing each day of his incredible journey.
Fun fact about the teenager: he prefers to go by his nickname to separate himself from his dad and he has no plans to be a part of the entertainment industry.
“I have one son, Cinco, who does not like to be called Usher, who tries to get away from it,” he told Tamron Hall last year.
Naviyd Ely Raymond
Usher’s second-born son, Naviyd Ely, was born on Dec. 10, 2008. In contrast to his older brother Cinco, Naviyd loves the entertainment industry.
In 2021, Usher wished his son a Happy Birthday, describing him on Instagram as his “….Silent Partner, Creative Director, Always Full of Ideas…”
The following year while on The Tamron Hall Show, the musician said that Naviyd Ely “really loves entertainment.”
The “Yeah” singer went on to say that his son not only watches all of his his shows, but he also critiques them as well.
Sovereign Bo Raymond
Usher and his girlfriend Jenn Goicoechea welcomed their first child together, daughter Sovereign Bo, on Sept. 24, 2020.
Usher shared the news on Instagram, accompanied by a touching photo of Sovereign’s tiny hand.
He expressed, “We are feeling blessed and full of love with the arrival of our beautiful baby girl, Sovereign Bo Raymond.”
“‘Isn’t She Lovely’ by Stevie Wonder on repeat,” the proud papa added.
Sovereign Bo holds a special place in her father’s heart as his only little girl.
In a 2021 interview with Extra, Usher revealed the symbolism behind his daughter’s name. “Sovereign, man, is such a beautiful word and name to me, you know, a supreme ruler is obviously the defined name. She’s definitely ruling the household, but Sovereign Bo — Bo is at the end of it, so [she’s] my little ‘reign-bo.’ ”
Sire Castrello
Sire Castrello is Usher’s youngest child, born on Sept. 29, 2021.
Just a month after his birth, Usher introduced his son to the world with a sweet black-and-white photo and an announcement on social media.
He wrote, “Hi my name is Sire Castrello Raymond … I am the newest addition to the Raymond crew. I was born Sept 29 2021 at 6:42pm weighting 7lbs 13oz. Hear me roar … A.K.A Ra Ra. Gang.”
Even at two-years-old, Usher and his baby boy have a special relationship that includes their own little secret code. “Me and him have a really cool relationship,” Usher told people in an interview. “He’s different than any of my other kids. I’ve managed to have a little code going with him when I talk to him and how we speak to each other. He makes me mush … My new little boy, he’s something special.”
