With James Blake on the hook, Ye’s eldest child raps about taking charge of the year ahead:
I love it here
We gonna take over the year for another year
It’s your bestie, Miss, Miss Westie
Don’t tryna test me
It’s gonna get messy
It’s gonna get messy
Just, just bless me, bless me
It’s your bestie, Miss, Miss Westie
Just tryna bless me, just bless me, bless me (Talking)
In the second scene, Ty Dolla Sign and Kanye West seamlessly blend their vocals into the track, adding depth and dimension. Ty’s verse introduces his daughter, Jailynn Griffin, as he expresses his aspirations for her future while reflecting on his own past mistakes.
How much to stop the car from speeding? They might try to slow down
How much to stop my daughter from growing? I just can’t take it now
‘Cause she just doing all the [stuff] I did when I was her age
I don’t know how I’m gonna tell her, but her dad’s just afraid
Of her choices, know that I’ve been through it
I just hope I haven’t been the wrong influence
As the song ends, Kanye West sings, “Once again the clouds are gathering to release what they held in.”
The music video sets the stage for the impending release of Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign’s highly anticipated album, “Vultures,” slated to drop this Friday, February 9th.
As fans eagerly await “Vulture,” one thing is clear: these two fathers are bringing their kids along for the ride.
