North West, the eldest daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, is making headlines once again with her phenomenal artistry. In a new viral video, the ten-year-old shows off her makeup skills, and fans are unquestionably in awe of her talents.
Set to an original sound by Amari on TikTok, North first showed viewers her planned transformation as she began her “POV: pre-shower make up” tutorial.
Once a pair of images flashed on the screen behind her, at the :10 sec mark, the talented pre-teen got to work.
And of course, social media was front-and-center for North’s tutorial, many stating that the talented young West was not only “fun” but super talented!
“North is so fun!” One Instagram user commented.
Another social media user said, “North is [super] talented, like I’m 27 and cannot even do my own makeup. Go North!”
Even though North did get a lot of support and props for her skills, there were a few online that felt as if the makeup tutorial was a bit much for someone her age and that “a child needed to stay in a child’s place.”
“I feel like a child needs to stay in a child’s place. Using grown folks makeup from Sephora at that young age isn’t staying in a child’s place,” one person stated.
Another user not quite in support of North’s makeup usage simply questioned, “Why is she wearing makeup??”
Regardless of the comments on either side of the coin, North nailed the look as she always seems to do.
One social media user eloquently summed it up for all of the nay-sayers. North is simply “an artist”.
“She’s an artist & this is an actual profession, special effects make-up. Her mother said she has been taking an interest in it lately. Relax, She’s no different than the talented younger black girl @paint_with_dakota that started playing in make-up. Now she does AMAZING work on sets. Not everyone wants to “be grown”. Let them find their special craft,” the commenter wrote.
In a recent interview with Bustle, Kardashian opened up about North’s passion for makeup, revealing that her eldest daughter loves using prosthetics and special effects makeup to transform people into various fun things and creatures.
In addition to North, Kardashian and West share three other children — Saint, 8, Chicago, 6, and Psalm, 4.
