Fifteen-year-old actress Calah Lane has unquestionably earned her moment in the spotlight with her phenomenal performance as “Noodle” in the Golden Globe-nominated movie, Wonka. You may remember Lane’s face from award-winning projects such as This Is Us and The Day Shall Come. Yet, here is your chance to go behind-the-camera and get to know more about this young rising star. Recently, Calah sat down with JustJaredJr.com to share a few fun facts about herself.

She’s has a dog with a famous name.

I have a little black and white Jack Russell, named Snoopy. He gets into so much dog trouble, lol, but I love him so much.

Calah is a multi-hyphenated talent.

I started doing the splits at 4 years old and had a natural ability to dance and sing at a young age. I was taking advanced dance classes by the age of 7.

Although she loves to act, her Hollywood dreams go beyond being in front of the camera.

I want to be a director when I get older. I also write my own scripts. So, I’d love to be able to write, direct and maybe even act in my own movie one day.

Are you ready for some football? Calah is!

Last year I became a big football fan and I now love watching football with my dad. I’ve learned so much about the game just by listening to my dad and watching the game.

Calah started acting at the age of four on the theater stage.

I started acting when I was 4 years old. After my mom showed her co-worker a video of me singing, they helped my mom get me an audition to the local AnnieKids Theater production, at Broadway Dallas. I auditioned and booked the lead role of Molly.

Calah is not going to join the entomophile club.

I do not like bugs at all. Not one of them. I will scream and run. I don’t know what I’m going to do whenever I’m an adult and have my own home. I may have to call my parents to remove any bugs from my house! lol

What would Calah star in next?

I’ve always wanted to do a movie like Clueless or an Action film. Most of the films I’ve done, I’ve mostly been the only child on set. So that’s what draws me to films like Clueless because it is in a school setting and almost everyone is my age. I’d also love to do an action film, where I can fight some bad guys.

Calah loves the 90s.

I love a lot of 90′s music. I listen to TLC, Brandy, Lauren Hill, SWV and more artists. I feel I should have been born then. I also like to listen to Bizzle, Aretha Franklin, D4vd, and SZA. My Dad is a DJ, so I listen to a lot of different styles of music daily.

Calah’s favorite fruit is…

When I was 7, I filmed in the Dominican Republic. That’s where I fell in love with mangos. They are delicious there. So, now I love mango everything! If it’s on the menu, I’m getting it. Mango shakes, mango slush, mango icee, mango ice cream, mango mango mango! lol

As Calah puts it, “acting is a family affair!”

I have one brother and one sister. Both my brother and sister are actors. My mom and dad act as well. Acting is definitely a family affair!
