Congratulations are in order for Sierra Canyon basketball player, Mackenly Randolph. The talented athlete has been selected to play in the 2024 McDonald’s All-American game, making history, as only one of two students from her school to do so!
As the daughter of 2-time NBA-All Star, Zach Randolph, it is no question that Mackenly has basketball greatness coursing through her veins. According to highschool.si.com, the senior forward is best “known for her combination of physicality and touch. [The latest McDonald’s All-Star] is averaging 19.8 points (53% FG), 11.7 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game this season which has anchored the Trailblazers to a 22-1 record.”
Mackenly joins another NBA legend’s daughter on the court for the West girls team in the 2024 McDonald’s All-American game. Shaquille O’Neal’s daughter, Me’Arah O’Neal, is also set to be a part of this year’s team.
Mackenly and Me’Arah’s appearances on the court in this game is reminiscent of their fathers, who decades earlier, played in the same game and were both named MVP of the boys game.
Randolph is currently ranked as No. 21 in the ESPN Top 100 for the class of 2024.
In terms of what is next for this rising sports star, well, after graduation, Randolph is planning on continuing to play on the collegiate level. Although she is still uncommitted, but the teen told SBLive back in in October of 2023 that she has narrowed her list down to three schools: Notre Dame, Michigan State and Louisville.
The 2024 McDonald’s All-Americans Game will be held at the Toyota Center in Houston, TX. on April 2. The game will air on ESPN2/ESPN app at 6:30 p.m. ET.
Congratulations to both Mackenly and Me’Arah! We will definitely be cheering for the win for you both!
