A few seconds into the clip, Lil Wayne introduces his boys to Queen Latifah, but they remain seated as they greet the iconic actress, singer, and rapper.

The encounter has sparked mixed reactions among fans on social media, with many scolding the children for not standing up to greet their “elder”.

Some fans voiced their dissatisfaction, emphasizing the importance of showing respect to a figure as iconic as Queen Latifah.

Comments like “My kids would have stood up for the queen” and “Them kids don’t even know how historic of a hand they were shaking” flooded X.

Others defended Lil Wayne and his children with comments such as, “Y’all…their dad is Lil Wayne. They probably meet celebrities every day”.

Amid the controversy, one author wrote an opinion piece questioning why Wayne didn’t instruct his children to stand up.

“Lil Wayne didn’t tell his boys to stand up as I expected him to do. That was surprising to me because Lil Wayne is a person from the South and people from the South take such things pretty seriously.”

He continued, “I am going to chalk this up to timing; Lil Wayne is a person who despite being an alien also has sense, and I know he and his kids’ mothers are raising their kids to be respectful citizens of the planet.”

In all, Lil Wayne has four kids with as many women. His eldest child and only daughter, Reginae Carter, was not in attendance at the game..
