Good Morning America anchor Janai Norman and her husband have officially welcomed a new member of the family. The 33-year-old gave birth to her third child just in time to end 2023.
The GMA weekend anchor revealed the news on Christmas Day, posting the sweetest image of she and her son on Instagram.
“Dear Santa, We’ve already got more than we could’ve ever imagined to wish for,” she began her caption.
She continued, “We welcomed baby boy Earthside last month. Born safely at home with daddy, big brother and sister nearby,” she revealed. “The five of us. Our family is complete and blessed beyond our wildest dreams. Eternally grateful to @cihuapahtlimc for again empowering me to trust my body and birth new life comfortably on my terms.”
Norman announced that she was adding to her family live on GMA in April of this year, surprising her three co-anchors. In true GMA fashion, in early November, Norman’s co-anchors surprised her with an on-air baby shower, celebrating the expectant mother before she left for maternity leave.

“I’ve been manifesting this,” the ABC anchor told People Magazine in an exclusive interview regarding the news of her third pregnancy. “I’ve been very open about wanting to have a third. Just before I found out I told friends at lunch ‘I really feel like things are starting to clear out to allow me to welcome the blessing.'”
She continued in the interview saying that fans already knew the exciting news before she herself had even confirmed it.
“The Saturday before I found out there were two different viewers who commented in places and were like ‘Hey, is Janai pregnant?’ ” Norman said. “And even that day that I found out I posted a picture that said ‘Caption this’ and somebody said ‘Surprise pregnancy’. I don’t know what it is but some viewers just know, so I’m excited to confirm.”
Norman and her husband, Eli Norman were married in 2018. The couple welcomed a son in 2017 and a daughter in 2020.
